Ø Circulation Services: - Library materials are borrowed and returned at the Kiosk, Smart Shelf & circulation desk, which is located near the main entrance. Reserved books, audio visual material, periodicals, reference books and CDs / DVDs can be used with in library.
Ø Reference Services: - Library provides reference and referral service to its users. Queries are answered using all possible sources. If the required information source is not available / accessible at Sri J P Choubey Central Library, the users are referred to other libraries where the required information may be available.
Ø Book Bank Services: - The College Library houses a Book Bank, with a rich collection of around 700 books with yearly addition of around 50 books covering all the disciplines taught in the University. It renders services to the students by providing them with the text books (Maximum 04) of their choice for the whole academic session. The students are required to apply for getting this facility as and when notified. Students are required to return these books before the commencement of their examinations to get Clearance/No Dues from the library.
Ø Property Counter: - The Library offers the facility of property counter to its users. Users are required to deposit their Bags (excluding valuable items such as money, passport, credit/debit cards/mobile phones etc.) with the property counter attendant before entering into the library. But they are advised not to carry any valuable belongings / cash / jewellery etc. for which they themselves be responsible.
Ø Special Facilities offered by the Library to the Divyangjan: - There is a ramp at the entrance of the University Library for the purpose of facilitating the access of Divyangjan users in the library. Divyangjan users are not required to wait in the queue for issue/return of the books. The Library staffs address the requirements of all such users on priority basis. The library has providing text to speech converter and braille books for the benefit of Divyangjan. University Braille Library Membership is also provided to the visually challenged students where they are provided with all their reading material both in Braille format as well as audio.
Ø Online Reservation System: - Library users can reserve any book using our online reservation system through KOHA if it is already issued. Reserved books are not reissued. Library user is automatically informed through email when a reserved book is returned and the same is held at circulation desk for two days. If the reserved book is not collected within two days, it is issued to other users or shelved.
Ø Current Awareness Service: - Library members are regularly informed about the recent acquisitions in the library. A list of "NEW ARRIVALS" is sent to the library users by e-mail on regular basis.
Ø Inter Library Loan Service: - Document procurement services can be made available from DELNET delivery services (www.delnet.in) if the user is willing to bear the expenses (e.g. Postal charges, Photocopy charges, etc.) involved.
Ø Photocopying / Printing Service:- Photocopying and printing facility is available with the library. Users can get the photocopy of required information from reference materials (like reference books, encyclopaedias, dictionaries, journals and magazines etc.) on payment basis.
Ø Orientation and Information Sessions:- The library's orientation and information program extends the role of library in ensuring that users make the most effective use of library resources. The program is designed to educate the faculty members, students, and staff in locating printed and electronic knowledge resources to fulfil their information needs. This service is provided on individual and group basis.
Ø OPAC:- OPAC facility in the central library is provided through LAN in all the departments. Whose IP is 192.168.2.200
Ø Assistant to Procure Books: - If the students studying in the university want to buy books, then they can give the information regarding the registered vendor for getting the books to Discounted price.
Ø Plagiarism checking:- College Library has initiated a service for Plagiarism checking of Research Papers from URKUND through University of Delhi.
Ø New Arrival Display Service:- Books newly added to the library are displayed on the Revolving display stands before they are released for loan.
Ø Newspaper & Magazines:- Newspaper reading Huts and magazine stands are provided for the readers on first floor.
Ø Dictionary:- Dictionary display stands are provided at each floor.
Ø Membership Details:- All the students, faculty members and employees of the Institute can register themselves for the membership of the Library. All Students, faculty and staff members are issued Library cards. Their entitlements, in terms of the number of books that can be borrowed by them, are as follows:

All students, faculty and employees of the Institute are entitled for the membership of the Library. Library membership form is available at the Membership Counter at Sri J P Choubey Central Library.
Borrowing Rules:-
v The readers should check the books thoroughly for missing pages, chapters, etc. while getting them issued.
v No book in damaged condition will be accepted from the users on return. Damaged books will have to be replaced by the borrower.
Cost recovery of Lost Books by the Library members:-
Following is the approved criteria for recovering the cost of lost books by Library members:
v The lost book should be replaced by a new book with overdue charges, if any and with processing charges of Rs. 100/- for each book.
v In case the book is out of print or not available in the market then the double of the cost mentioned in the Accession register should be charged with processing charges of Rs. 200/- for each book with overdue charges, if any.
v Minimum of Rs. 500/- to be charged with processing charges of Rs. 200/- for each book with overdue charges, if any.
v The cost of the book in foreign currency to be charged at the current conversion rate of the currency.
Fine:-
Items that are returned after the due date are considered overdue. Overdue fines are assessed at the following rates:
v Rs. 2.00 per day for the books issued from the Library.
v Rs. 100.00 for issuing Membership Card.
v Rs. 150.00 for issuing the Duplicate Membership card.
v Rs. 1.00 per page for the Photocopy.
v Rs. 3.00 per page for Printing.
